The church stands on a promontory, overlooking the valley of the beck and marshes to the north. The Norman south door, now on the north side is of particular interest. The tower contains a unique peal of five C17 bells, the only complete set by the Norwich bell foundry to survive intact. Wall painting of St Christopher. Hourglass pulpit and medieval screen with some fine decoration including the "Thurlton Dragon", but missing its panels.
