This Church is dedicated to St Ethelbert who was a king of East Anglia, one of only six such dedications in Norfolk. The Anglo-Saxon Chronicle explains that he was killed on the orders of King Offa of Mercia in 794. St Ethelbert is depicted in stained glass in the church, part of an eclectic mix of 20th century work. The tower dates to the 15th century but the nave is of earlier origin. Only two windows form the clerestory but the space is bright due to the lack of stained glass. There are four consecration crosses on the walls by the chancel arch.
