St Margaret’s Church is set on the edge of its village looking out on wide fields through mature trees. Clues to the origins of the church lie in the partial survival of a Norman arch over the priest’s door. The south door dates to the 14th century. Notice the oak leaves and acorn design. A striking memorial featuring a sheaf or wheat, obelisk and bull is dedicated to brothers Charles and Jonathan Layton of Clippesby and Reedham Halls.
