A particularly picturesque church in a peaceful setting. The church is the site of the burial of St Walstan, who died in 1016. Nearby is St Walstan's well, easily accessible from the church. The late C14 saw large quantities of pilgrims making the trip to the chapel on the north side of the church which housed his bones. Stepped gables and the red nave roof make this church particularly memorable. Step inside to see several medieval brasses, wonderful medieval glass and the royal arms of Charles II. Wheelchair accessible if pre-arranged (there is a mobile ramp that would need to be in place for access).
