St Mary’s Church is situated next to Anmer Hall, the country home of the Prince and Princess of Wales. It has an early 14th century nave with later Perpendicular windows on the north side. The chancel dates to the 13th century but was extensively restored in the 1880s. Grotesques bare their teeth from the stops of the east window and gargoyles look out from beneath the battlements. Inside, there are six hatchments to the Coldham family and the Royal Arms of George III. Notice the beautiful tracery of the east window of the south aisle.
