The church was built in the C14 and C15 and is Grade I Listed. Perhaps its most outstanding feature is the large and imposing west tower; the flush-work is of the highest quality. The tower contains a fine ring of eight bells, two of which are pre-reformation. Inside the church there are two remarkable medieval lecterns, one wooden and one with a magnificent double-headed eagle made of brass.
