A late Saxon, early Norman church. The surviving arcading on the north and south nave walls indicate the eastern extent of the original Norman church which would have ended in an apse. Excellent consecration crosses. The Pentney Saxon Broaches were found in the churchyard in 1977. Details are portrayed inside the church. They are now in the British Museum.
