St Mary Magdalene’s, Pentney
Open daily dawn to dusk.
A late Saxon/ early Norman church. The surviving arcading on the north and south nave walls indicate the eastern extent of the original Norman church which would have ended in an apse. Excellent consecration crosses. The Pentney Saxon Broaches were found in the churchyard in 1977. Details can be found inside the church. They are held in the British Museum.
