This church building is often locked but a key is available nearby. There will be a notice in the church porch with details of where the key is held.

The approach to St Mary's Church is on foot, through a meadow. Its unusual flint and red brick tower peeks through the trees. The tower was rebuilt in 1713. Look closely at the west face and you will see a stone with the inscription 'Vivat A Regina' in dedication to Queen Anne. The rest of the building is in the Perpendicular style. Inside, the space is lofty and bright. Niches for images survive either side of the chancel arch, suggesting that there used to be two nave altars. The altar is a lovely Elizabethan table of original proportions.
